The thing that surprised me the most in act 3 was the amount of sexual things that Hamlet said to Ophelia. For example Hamlet says to Ophelia, "Ay, or any show that you will show him. Be not you ashamed to show, he’ll not shame to tell you what it means." He is saying she could make the mime talk by showing him her body. Hamlet also said "Lady, shall I lie in your lap?" and later said "Do you think I meant country matters?" He was asking if he could lay his head on her during the play, but was implying country manners or in other words sex. It is strange he said all this in the scene after he said "get thee to a nunnery!" When he said that he meant that no man would ever want to be with her. I am still not sure what Hamlet's intentions with Ophelia are at this point in the story. I think we will find out soon though because Polonious is no longer around to tell Ophelia how to act around Hamlet.
