I think that it is weird that now, after all the commotion that Hamlet has caused, the king and Laertes decide finally to kill hamlet. I find it weird though that they think they have to come up with some sort of extravagant plan to kill hamlet. I mean challenging him to a fight with a poisoned swords then if that plan didn't work, to pour a poison into his drink. What I don't get is why don't they just hire someone to kill hamlet, or in other words, assassinate him. Make it look like an unfriendly opposing country tried to kill him. If it is one thing I know about having a plan to do something, it usually never goes the way it was intended to go.
