This act shocked me. I had no idea that Ophelia would go the lengths of killing herself just because her father died. I mean she wasn't a very strong person to begin with but I did not think she was so weak to kill herself. She ended up going crazy. Which I found odd. Hamlet this entire time is pretending to be crazy and doing all of this not only to avenge his fathers murder but also to protect Ophelia by pushing her away. By pushing Ophelia away she ends up going slowly insane. So Hamlet lost her despite his efforts to get her out of this mess. When he kills her father, Ophelia kills herself. Therefore Hamlet in a sense killed Ophelia which was the exact opposite of what he was trying to do. But it makes me wonder if Ophelia still loved Hamlet even though he killed her father, or was it all infatuation?
