Hamlet and Laertes are both seeking the same thing, revenge for there father's death. However, even though they seek the same thing the two are extremely different. Laertes said that he would kill Hamlet in the church. Hamlet would not kill Claudius when he was praying because of his religious beliefs. Laertes is clearly more violent than blood thirsty then Hamlet. Laertes has Claudius to help him in planning his revenge. Hamlet has been alone on all of his revenge plans. Hamlet's plans have not been fully revealed whereas Laertes has revealed three different plans for his revenge. I am anxious to see which person, or both, or neither gain vengence for the death of their father.
P.S it is still possible for my prediction from after act 1 to come true. I predicted that Laertes would end up the king of Denmark
