The ending of Hamlet was disappointing for me. I was not expecting it to end in the way it did. I had a moment when Gertrude died i was not expecting her to die because she had been off limits for most of the play. I also did not like how Hamlet spent the entire play planning the death of Claudius and then kills Claudius by just walking up and stabbing him. If it was that easy why did Hamlet no just do that earlier? He could have saved the lives of Ophelia, Laertes, Gertrude, and Polonius. They were all victims of Hamlet's quest for revenge. In the end Hamlet was more of a villian than a hero he caused more harm than good just to complete a selfish quest.
