In A Seperate Peace there is an important lesson to be learned. Gene and Finny are the best of friends, however like most best friends they had their fights. Gene became envious of Finny and started to resent him. Gene became so wrapped up in his fight with Finny he made a subconscious decision to push him out of a tree. Finny's fall ended up costing him his sports career and eventually his life. The lesson that can be learned is that we should never let our frustration with people build up so much we lash out. We should talk our problems out with people to avoid using violence.

Great points about how Gene and Finny are friends who have conflicts. Be sure to use literary present tense.
