In F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby, the moral/intellectual approach is used mainly through the main character Gatsby. Throughout the story, the reader learns that Gatsby has been in love with a girl named Daisy for all of his life. They grew apart for some time but a spark re-kindled when they found each other again. However, Gatsby believes that his money and his expensive style of living can win Daisy over. In the end, it actually ends up getting him killed. The moral/intellectual approach is conveyed because a lesson is taught and that lesson is simply that money cannot buy you happiness.

Good points about Daisy and the main character. Be as specific as possible throughout your response, and remember to use a comma before conjunctions.
