The main character in Catch-22 Yassorian suffers from sever paranoia. His paranoia derives from his many traumatic experiences as a soldier. Yassorian has an irrational fear that everyone around him is trying to kill him including his comrades and superiors. He believes that they purposefully raise the amount of missions he must fly in hopes he dies. The death of everyone around him and his seemingly inevitable death add to Yassorian's paranoia. The death of Snowden had a profound effect on Yassorian. His death started Yassorian's downward spiral into a state of constant fear.

Great points, Sam. You did a good job of making an assertion: severe paranoia. Then you backed up your points with apt references from the text.
